Fire Rated Warehouse Cladding Sheets
Recent high-profile fires have reinforced the importance of choosing the right cladding system for your building. Due to the fact that this new steel building was in close proximity to other buildings on site, 3 of the walls had to have fire wall conditions. Therefore, we used Kingspan 40mm insulated fire rated cladding sheets.
40mm composite insulated roof sheets in Goosewing Grey were used which helps with anti-condensation in the warehouse. Colours of the building were Goosewing grey with all trims in Sargasso Blue. The colour combination of the building was designed specifically for the client to match their existing buildings on site.
Kingspan Testing & Approval
Kingspan Fire rated composite cladding achieve high levels of reaction to fire performance in tests specified for regulatory purposes. Large scale tests have been developed within the industry and large scale tests developed by other organisations including ISO, British Standards Institute (BSI) and the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA).
In addition to reaction to fire tests, Kingspan provide various levels of fire resistance with panel systems, achieving up to 3 hours fire integrity and 1 hour fire insulation.
As mentioned before this warehouse was close to other buildings therefore, when constructing it there was only 2 metres around the building for us to work. Hence, why Sharp and Strong provided the erectors with a scaffolding platform/walk way to protect them whilst working on site.
